A Birthday Of Surprising Enjoyment

Much to my astonishment today was great! The day was sunny and beautiful, very cold though. At 1pm three of my friends came by to hang around for the day and brought with them a gift for me, which I am always wary of because I always feel obligated to try and get something for them next time (just seems polite). I recently have had problems with my XBOX and good old microsoft basically gave me the old F-Off , so I was surprised to see they bought me a new one! They then wanted to take me to a movie, however the theater (located in a mall) was closed at that time, so we became mallrats for an hour or so. At one point walking into a music store and speaking to someone whom I know, that just so happen to work there, who encouraged me to drop a resume off. One of my friends proceeded to play on one of the guitars and so I strolled over and toyed with a nearby piano; suddenly finding myself surrounded by said friends, one asked why I never told him I could play and basically wants me to do some music with him!

After walking around aimlessly for awhile more we headed to our next destination, a comic store (yeah!) and checked out some cool stuff. We then headed over to a restaurant and had dinner (and alot of laughs) and they paid for me, which I must admit is cool to know what kind of friends you have , but still makes me uncomfortable (I don't want to take anyone for granted). They dropped me home at 6:15 pm and they headed back home, which by the way is an hours drive in GOOD traffic. Yes, by 7:20 pm my mother and father were in front of me with a DQ cake and singing to me, but I have to admit this day is impressive to me and I am glad God has blessed my life with so many wonderful friends (and the list continues to grow) and family!!!

So my birthday wish is this: May everyone know the true love that is friendship, family and God. For you can own everything in the world yet possess nothing in your heart.
