Beware the clear thought of disillusionment,
as it leads one down the path of compromise.
Compromise, though a well beaten path, never
leads to anything more than a face to face meeting
with a mirrored stranger.
While the stranger may share a familiar face,
that face holds nothing more than memories of a past
presentation of what has now become a façade.
The façades embrace allows one to warm up to
the ice cold reality of what it is that has become them.
Set fire to the ice, regain the natural warmth or
compromise shall be your disillusioned happiness
until your breath ceases to be drawn.
