the vanishing fool

alas, the pure genius of the fool!

last to know, first in awe
simple confounds, broad strokes elude, the truth never ceases to amaze

the butt of all jokes, yet laughing all the same

never.

always.

relaxed reluctance plays out in symphonic titillation
breathe, must remember to breathe.....

how brilliant, the dull smile of a grin unknown
dust me for fingerprints, surely I have been violated

the sigh comes in a tense moment of relaxed judgment

perhaps the ego allowed the train of thought to derail
maybe it just held the train in mid-air until reality set in
although, I suspect I imagined the train the whole time

breathe, must remember to breathe

always.

never....yes, that would be easier........

cowardice, it pokes me with a stick in times such as these
always I peer over the edge, the freefall may be freeing, illuminating
never, I never see my answers in the beginning of the end

something is in my eye, oh yes, my finger.....what was I retrieving?

lately my mind is as graceful as a parade of retarded monkeys making love

the act, it is all I have in life, but why this part? why the fool?
never the leading man, rarely the side-kick, often the jester, but always the fool!

my head, now radiant in reddened heat, amasses moisture at an alarming rate

my vanishing act nearly complete, I set off on a fool's errand
perhaps I shall return victorious

only a fool could be filled with such hope.
