So, I have just recently returned home from being out with a group of friends. I needed a good evening out with all the crap going on right now. We had a decent enough meal and the usual conversing and joking around that ensues and then decided to catch a movie. We decided upon Horton Hears A Who.
I absolutely LOVED it!
I know, I enjoyed the Chipmunks and I love this...perhaps just my childhood showing through, yet I make no apologies at all!
There are some great actors involved with this one: Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Carol Burnett, Seth Rogan, and Jesse McCartney (he voiced Theodore in the Chipmunks movie too...for anyone that cares).
I was very frightened about the thought of another Seuss classic being brought to the screen, after having my mind and childhood simultaneously raped by the Ron Howard (ugh) directed (loose terminology) 'Grinch' (LIES!). I won't even mention a certain feline in a head garment that was...well...nevermind.
Luckily this movie is very enjoyable and is truly a family film...shocking isn't it?
Anyway, the guys at Blue Sky did a great job with the animation and even brought some really creative sequences into play besides just the main style.
Well, I am tired and could ramble, so just see this film and enjoy...if you don't enjoy you have no one to blame but you.
