nocturnal

lightning flashes as the padlock falls silently into the damp sand
cage door swings open with a crash against the side of the bars
loosed upon the world, another night of prey at hand
fiercest eyes consume the pageantry
darkness, it finds a companion in the hunter
graceful strength in padded movements
the stealth of death, unfurled
deep shallow breath, control in lust
be still, be still
patience finds a ravaged path in these darkest chambers
AT LAST!
all consumed, iron claws now unsheathed
masterful bounds as symphonic, carnivorous bass reverberates
the cathedral bells now begin to toll
several unknowing succumb to their weakness
the taste of iron, it calms yet invigorates
more....MORE.....
the pageantry has now become my own
melodic screams
vivid splashes of red
all orchestrated to the tempo of my guttural roar
I hunger, no...LUST...
more is never enough, everything can not fill the void
darkness slowly lifts as stained glass shatters in my wake
the cage now holds me again
suns light now flashes, as the lock returns it bite
and I pray the world is not loosed upon me again
